Route 66 is going to be about stories that make you think, make you laugh, maybe even make you sigh. I have learned over the years that there is just far too much talent in this world to restrict this journal to one specific genre, and after all, the stories are going to be short enough that if it’s not your cup of tea, you’ll find something that is!
This is also a good exercise for new and established writers. It helps to focus meaning into a narrow margin. I expect the first issue to be packed with laughter, intrigue, wonder, and maybe a little fright here and there!
Currently Route 66 can only pay in accolades, but will be awarding a $20 prize for Editors Choice 1st place, and two honorable mentions at $10 each. Eventually we do hope to be a paying market, we need to break ground with a smash!!!
